Learn how to invite co-buyers from the Dashboard or Buyer Portal.
Adding a co-buyer in TDC ensures both parties complete their required steps and have access to their own documents. A co-buyer must always be linked to the existing transaction—never as a separate one.Adding a Co-Buyer from the Dealership Dashboard
-
Navigate to the Dashboard and open the transaction where the co-buyer should be added.
-
Locate the Co-Buyer section inside the transaction file.
-
Enter the co-buyer’s:
-
First and Last Name
-
Email Address
-
Cell Phone Number
-
-
Click Add Co-Buyer.
The co-buyer will automatically receive an email invite. This email will contain the link to the Buyer Portal, which they can access with a one-time password (OTP) sent to their cell phone number.

Co-Buyer Login and Flow
-
Once added, the co-buyer logs into their own portal with their email and OTP, whether on the kiosks (exiting transaction) or from home.
-
They will go through the same onboarding flow, including:
-
Providing consents (communication, privacy, test drive, etc.)
-
Uploading ID images (front and back)
-
Completing compliance requirements
-
Signing their own set of Pre- and Post-Purchase forms
-
Important Notes
-
Co-buyers must always be added to the existing transaction. The TDC system cannot merge two independent transactions.
-
If both buyers are in the dealership, the co-buyer can complete their flow using a second kiosk.
-
If remote, the co-buyer simply logs in from home through their Buyer Portal.
