# How to Switch Roles Between Primary Buyer and Co-Buyer?

## Step-by-step guide to swapping primary and co-buyer roles in a transaction.

### Switching Roles in a Transaction

1. On the Dealership Dashboard, open the transaction file.
2. Go to the Deal section.
3. Click on the **Deal Scenario**s button (This button only appears if a co-buyer is already added)
4. Select Scenario 1 – Switch Roles.
   
     - This makes the primary buyer the co-buyer, and the co-buyer the primary buyer.

### Important Things to Know

- **Forms Must Be Re-Executed**
  
    - If either consumer signed forms before switching, a new set of forms must be executed.
    - The old forms will be removed from both the Deal Jacket and the Digital Glove Box.
- **Forms Completion Indicator Resets**
  
    - After switching, the forms completion indicator will no longer show a green checkmark.
    - Dealership staff will need to click **Request Signatures Again** on the Dashboard.
- **Re-Signing Process**
  
    - Both the new primary buyer and co-buyer must log into their own portals (with their own credentials).
    - They will need to e-sign the new forms that are staged for them.
