Here are a few key points to remember about co-buyers in TDC:
- Co-buyers are always added to EXISTING transactions. TDC does not allow merging of two independent transactions, so co-buyers should never create a new transaction.
- Co-buyers have their own separate Buyer Portal for logging in. Like primary buyers, they use this portal to progress through TDC steps, including onboarding, submitting pre-qualification and credit applications, and e-signing compliance documents.
- Co-buyers participate in their own e-signing ceremony, signing their set of documents within their portal.
- It's crucial to add a co-buyer before "Requesting Signatures" for Pre-Purchase Documents.
If the co-buyer is at the dealership - bring them another kiosk, so them and the primary buyer can go through the process simultaneously.

Documents
Co-buyer and primary buyer documents are generated within a single deal jacket in one transaction. However, they have separate "glove compartments" for document storage. This means the primary buyer only sees their own documents and disclosures, while the co-buyer sees theirs, ensuring privacy and organization for each party involved in the transaction.
